Colour varies from green to beige and white
Mineralogy: “Mexican Onyx” is an old trade name for a white or cream, to pale green, layered calcite from Mexico, much used in carvings and ornamental pieces. There is a similar material which has recently become available, from India, which is usually sold as “onyx” tumble stones.
Healing Properties: “Mexican Onyx” is similar to white or clear calcite, in that it does an amazing job of clearing and aligning the entire chakra system. It fizzes its way through each chakra, then calms, and reaches a state of neutrality, leaving the user feeling more alert and clear-headed.
