Properties:
Cerrusite is a lead ore. Energetically speaking, the healing properties of lead make it one of the more surprising chemical elements. Given its weight, even transparent to translucent lead ores would seem to be obvious grounding crystals. However, its most potent and amazing quality is clearing blockages. Clear or white lead ores, such as cerrusite and anglesite, unblock and clear the Crown Chakra, allowing it to open and bring pure, white spiritual light into the body. Spiritually, it aids channelling while keeping feet on the ground. Physically, cerrusite calms and aligns the nervous system, and leaves the body open to receive healing.

Mineralogy:
Cerrusite is a clear to white lead ore, the second most common lead ore after galena. It is a sedimentary mineral that forms in the oxidation zones of lead veins, and through the action of carbonated water on other lead ores such as galena and anglesite. Crystals can be tablular, prismatic, dipyramidal, pseudohexagonal or acicular. Colouration is usually clear, white or grey, but can also be blue to green from included copper.
History and Tradition:
Named in 1845 by Wilhelm Karl von Haidinger from the Latin cerussa, meaning “white lead.” Cerrusite has been known since antiquity, but used primarily for the metal, and not its healing properties.
