Ocean jasper is an orbicular (rhyolite) jasper (technically a rock), originating from Madagascar, and is often used as a decorative stone in carvings and jewellery. Being more quartz-like than most other jaspers, ocean jasper has the higher vibration and light, gentle qualities more often associated with fibrous chalcedonies, and it is and profoundly calming.  It strengthens our connection with nature and the natural world, and can remind us of this connection when we are caught up in an urban environment.

Please note ocean jasper has a wide colour range, and can include pink to red. It frequently has hollows filled with tiny chalcedony crystals.
